SOLID VIBRATION

Solid vibration is a research project in collaboration with designer Olivier van Herpt. We explored printing ceramics while manipulating the printing process with low frequency oscillation, solidifying vibrations into three dimensional shapes.

The printing speed, the size of the object and the oscillation frequencies interact, defining the organic textures of the vessels.

Solid Vibration is closely related to the Audiograph instrument, capturing oscillation in circular drawings.
